Harvey F. Nabozny 174 Burnside Avenue Woonsocket, RI 02895 Telephone: (401) 534-6701 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Dear Hiring Manager: I am interested a position requiring a self-starter with an advanced knowledge of electronics. I have worked in the same company for the last 8 years. However from 1985 to 2004 I worked for a number of companies as a per diem. This has led to experience in situations where I had to learn the job myself. Oftentimes I was the only electronics technician in the shop. I have often taken charge to start up new shops, find ways to troubleshoot new products, and set standards for newer technicians. I have extensive experience working in key positions for various companies most notable the ones listed in my resume. Having great success in these endeavors has proven I can step right into the job with little or no training, and little supervision. I have also found that most venders will provide free training on their products over the phone, or even in person when appropriate. My experience in programming may be useful, but has not been applied at work in some time. I have, and still take college courses as time permits. I have also initiated a course of self-study with accomplishments supported by certifications from Brainbench. Thank you for your time and consideration in having reviewed my resume. I hope to have the opportunity to discuss any openings that you may consider a good fit for me with you in person. Sincerely, Harvey Nabozny
